Overview

The La Marzocco Strada S is the culmination of decades of engineering, design, and direct collaboration with the world's finest coffee professionals. Over the course of two years, La Marzocco worked with thirty of the world's top baristas — a group known as the "Street Team" — to design an espresso machine from the ground up. The Strada, which means "street" in Italian, was named in their honour.

The second generation of the Strada improves upon the features and modernises the aesthetics of the original. Built in Florence, Italy, the 3 group Strada S features independent saturated boilers for each group head with PID control, allowing baristas to programme and maintain precise temperatures for individual coffees — ensuring every beverage is brewed at its absolute best, every single time. A low profile design invites customer engagement in a café setting while providing the barista an open, expansive work area. The Strada platform has been designed to encourage creativity and customisation so that each machine can be unique.

The AV (auto-volumetric) configuration provides programmable doses to simplify workflow and ensure repeatability, while optional integrated scales (ABR) add mass-based brewing functionality for the ultimate in precision. Proportional steam valves with lever-style activation give baristas unparalleled control over steam flow, and Pro Touch steam wands remain cool to the touch throughout service. An expansive, height-adjustable drip tray increases barista workspace and accommodates a variety of cup sizes.
